When founder Nick Walker went looking for sunglasses that were stylish, durable, and actually fit his young daughter, he came up short (and not just in height). That’s when Moana Sunnies was born—and so was one toddler’s sunglass obsession.

Living on an island in the Pacific, Nick saw the impact of plastic pollution firsthand. Determined to do better, he sourced sunnies made from recycled ocean plastics—like bottles and fishing nets pulled from the sea. The result?
